Low Country Cancer Care Expands Oncology Services to Better Serve the Community

New cancer center will offer advanced, comprehensive care providing unsurpassed convenience for patients in Savannah

Savannah, Ga., November 23, 2020 – Low Country Cancer Care (LCCC), a leading community oncology and hematology practice, is opening a new comprehensive cancer care facility on Memorial Health’s campus to enhance services and provide improved conveniences for patients in Savannah and surrounding communities.

LCCC is a partner practice within the American Oncology Network, LLC (AON), a high-growth medical oncology provider with a focus on supporting the long-term viability of cancer treatment in community-based settings. With AON integration support and centralized ancillary services, LCCC will provide expanded access to advanced oncology care in Savannah, Ga.

The newly constructed 9,382 square-foot cancer center will be located on the second floor of the Memorial Health Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute and is expected to open early December of this year. The new state-of-the-art facility will include 10 exam rooms and 26 chemotherapy chairs, and will offer infusion therapy, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, in-house laboratory performing all routine blood work on-site, in-house specialty pharmacy delivering oral cancer drugs direct to patient homes, 24/7 care management support, and financial counseling.
