Dr. Asit Jha obtained his medical education from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay in India. After hematology/oncology training in Philadelphia, he decided to move to Waycross, Georgia to provide high quality cancer care to patients living in rural areas where medical resources are scarce.
Dr. Jha is Board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He treats adult patients with various cancers including benign and malignant blood disorders. He has a special interest in breast, colorectal and lung cancer. Dr. Jha pursued a career in oncology because it is a challenging specialty with rapid advancement in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. He believes in taking care of the whole individual not just their cancer by listening to their concerns and addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual aspect of cancer care.

I got attached to this Dr. and his staff 2 years ago after going through a minor case of breast cancer and surgery then 20 rounds of radiation. He has since put me on Letrozole and is treating me for the beginning stages of osteoporosis (called osteopenia). I have always suffered from migraines but they are getting more intense, and this has them concerned so they are now testing me over for the migraines to see if there is further treatment that can be done. I am so impressed with the thorough care given in this office by everyone! The slightest mention of any issue and they are on it! If you want to be taken care of and taken care of well in Waycross this is where to go!!!!
